The Department of Electronics & Communication (Advanced Communication Technology) UG and PG courses started in 2023-24. The undergraduate course with an intake of 60 and postgraduate course with an intake of 12. To ensure high educational standards, the department provides excellent infrastructure and resources. This includes a highly experienced and knowledgeable faculty, well-equipped laboratories that are constantly upgraded to supplement theoretical coursework, and a comprehensive department library.
The department adopts a student-centric approach with a strong emphasis on continuous outcome- based and project-based learning to build a solid foundation for problem-solving and innovation. Along with academic excellence, the department nurtures professional conduct by instilling ethical values and responsible behavior. It focuses on improving academic results and aligning learning with recent technological trends through hands-on learning, extracurricular activities, industrial visits, internships, and structured training and placement initiatives to ensure holistic development and better career prospects for students.
In addition, the department provides focused career counseling for opportunities in both government and private sectors, particularly in core engineering areas such as 5G/6G, IoT, satellite and wireless communication, and organizations including DRDO, ISRO, BHEL, ONGC, and NTPC, as well as research and development roles. Dedicated guidance and mentoring are also offered for higher studies and competitive examinations such as GATE, GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, IES, and related pathways, enabling students to pursue advanced education and professional growth effectively.
