Overview

The Center of Excellence (CoE) in Industrial Robotics at CSMSS Chh. Shahu College of Engineering provides a focused environment for hands-on training, applied research, and industry collaboration in robotics and automation. The center leverages industrial robots (ABB IRB 6700 with machining spindle and Panasonic welding robot to train students, support local industries, and enable R&D projects.

Vision: To be a leading centre that fosters innovation, research and industry-academia collaboration in industrial robotics—preparing students and professionals to meet the automation needs of modern manufacturing.

Mission:

  • Support student for entrepreneurship and make them industry-ready.

  • Skill development in robot programming, and cell integration.
  • Research in robotic machining, incremental forming, welding automation and control.
  • Industry-oriented projects and consultancy for local MSMEs and manufacturing units. Workshops, short-term certification courses and student competitions.Collaboration with industry partners for internships, placements and technology transfer.

  • Incremental Forming Setup development on the ABB IRB 6700 for sheet metal forming research and prototyping.
  • Robotic Machining using an integrated machining spindle on ABB IRB 6700 for material processing and CAM integration studies.
  • Regular hands-on workshops on industrial robot programming, safety and simulation tools .
